Feilong Bridge crosses a small stream hundreds of meters above the deep canyon of the Lancangjiang (Mekong) River Gorge on a remote stretch of the G56 expressway. Completed in 2002, the beam span is one of many along the Yunnan stretch of the Hangrui expressway. The westernmost end of the G56 was finally completed all the way to the border of Burma in 2016.
