The following is a list of the many Cliffwalks that have been constructed at scenic areas throughout the world but mostly in China. Since nearly all of these cantilevered walkways are just 2 to 3 meters in width and are built with simple temporary wood or steel frames, I have not included them in the main categories of more substantial engineering structures. Most of these cliffwalks are made of concrete supported by embedded steel rebar that is anchored directly into large holes drilled into the cliff face.
The following cliffwalks are ranked on the maximum 80 to 90 degree near vertical drop height of the highest point on the structure to the talus below. Nearly all of these figures are based on estimates from my analyzing of photos or from using a laser rangefinder as most scenic areas will exaggerate this height. If you know of a cliffwalk that was not included then send me the information on the walkway so I can add it to the list. Enjoy!
