The Wujiang Huangcao Bridge is located along a spectacular section of the 6-lane G65 Expressway just south of the older 4-lane G65 Expressway that opened in 2009. The main span configuration of 115+220+115 meters is supported on piers as tall as 146.5 meters. The entire structure is 1,702 meters long and connects two large tunnels.
The deck of the Wujiang Huangcao Bridge is at least 180 meters above the full reservoir level along the Wu River with another 25 meters of water depth to the original level of the river.
