Shuangtangzi Railway Bridge is the third of three giant parallel high speed railway viaducts that cross Xinqiao Creek near Fuling City. All 3 of these grand structures are among the largest high level railway viaducts ever built with most of their two kilometer lengths measuring over 80 meters high.

Just 2 kilometers to the west are the similar but even larger Caijiagou Railway viaducts with pier heights as tall as 165 meters making them the 3 largest railway viaducts in the world.

The central 8 spans of the Shuangtangzi Railway Bridge are 72 meters supported on piers as tall as 109 meters. On both ends of the viaduct area many more spans of 32 and 24 meters for a total length of 1,995 meters.

The amazing Yifu HSR line between Wuhan and Chongqing has more than a dozen high level bridges including the impressive cable stayed Chaibuxi Railway Bridge with a main span of 680 meters, the Zhongjianhe Railway arch bridge with a 400 meter span and the colossal Caijiagou Railway Bridge with the world's tallest railway bridge pier of 165 meters.
