One of the most remote high bridges in all of China, this 2-lane crossing of the Beipanjiang River is located deep within the mighty Beipan River Gorge about 40 kilometers south of Liupanshui City. Just a few kilometers upstream and downstream of this arch crossing are some of the most epic cliffs and canyons in all of China. No other river in the world has as many record breaking high bridges crossing its waters as the Beipanjiang.

With a span of 150 meters, this is one of many similar truss arches built throughout China in the 1990s and early 2000s. Problems with cracking within the spandrel beams caused them to fall out of favor in the Chinese bridge engineering community and several have been replaced after being in service only a few years.
