Songkanhe Bridge is one of at least a dozen high beam bridges on the 6-lane Chongqing to Guiyang 2nd expressway. Several kilometers to the north is the similar sized Zaoduhe Bridge.

The double beam span configuration of Songkanhe Bridge is probably 140+140 meters on piers as tall as 78 meters.
