In central Italy on the SS650 road (SS means Strada Statale) there is a succession of two high viaducts. The highest is near the town of Bagnoli del Trigno where the Viadotto Trigno rises 328 feet (100 mtrs) above the river. A classic stone arch bridge sits just below the towering viaduct. Just to the west there is the Viadotto Gamberale also around 328 feet (100 mtrs) high with a similar lineup of tall towers and short spans.

In 2018 there was a lot of concern about concrete corrosion and degradation of the piers. A project is underway to restore these bridges back to their former condition.
