The new Viadotto Sant'Onofrio is a twin span replacement for the 1974 original which was imploded in 2009 as part of a major upgrade to sections of Italy’s A3 motorway. The new bridges have equal depth steel girder spans instead of suspended concrete beam spans as was on the original.

The total length of the two viaducts are 251.6 and 172 meters with span configurations of 64 + 79 x 2+ 79.4 + 80 x 2 +64 and 64 + 80 x 3 + 64 meters.
