Another towering steel box beam behemoth on Italy’s great A3 motorway, the Serra Viaduct consists of two 385 foot (117.5 mtr) spans and a central pier of about 295 feet (90 mtrs). The box girder reaches a depth of 28 feet (8.6 mtrs) over the pier. A highline was used to bring the pieces out over the gorge where they were cantilevered out from the top of the central pier.
