Designed by Italian architect Matteo Thun, the Trauttmansdorff Viewing Platform is located within the botanical gardens of the Trauttmansdorff Castle allowing visitors to see the grounds from a unique vantage point.

The most unusual element of the design is the “hood shade” that covers the end of the platform and also gives a framing effect to the landscape as you approach the end. The walkway is made of a fine mesh that allows you to walk over the tree tops below. A single spindle support holds it all up with back stays.
