The highest bridge in Qinghai Province, the Yellow River Gamayangqu viaduct was completed in 2017 on the G572 due to the impending reservoir that formed behind the new Yangqu Dam.
The 2,418 meter long beam bridge consists of a central river crossing of 65+5x120+65 meters flanked by approach spans of 25x40 and 17x40 meters. The tallest pier is 111 meters.
