Jiuwantang Bridge is part of a huge interchange along the mountainous 6-lane Fangwu expressway between Fangxian and Wufeng connecting the G42 and G50 Expressways in the 3 Gorges region of China.
The crossing has 26 piers more than 80 meters high with the two main piers standing 125 and 102.6 meters tall making it one of the highest interchange bridges in the world.
The giant Jiuwanxi Interchange will also be connected to a future east-west expressway.
The route has several other high spans including the Jiuge Yangtze River Bridge, the Jusong cable stayed bridge and the Jiuwanxi beam bridge.
